(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; it’s how I cope to hope that God’s ‘Nimals are “spoken for” [they have a voice])

Written for all you hunters out there who are really practicing a “sport” not called “dominion” but rather “DOMINATION!!!!”
HUNTER: “You are my best buddy, old dog.”
DOG: “Then, why are you killing my friends? Do your own dirty work!”
(DOG leaves)
“The rifleman waits the waits, what it takes.
The wait abates the bait; “I’ll dominate!”
“You see, I got pain, so you get forsakes.
You see, I got a rifle! You’re too late!”
The rifleman scares the scares, what it makes.
The scare despairs the care; “I hold your fate!”
“You see, I got fear, so you get the bakes.
You see, I got a rifle! You’re too hate!”
The rifleman is armed; the ‘nimal, not!
The ‘nimal wants freedom to exist, live,
but the rifleman is king….sort of….NOT!
God’s The Scorekeeper. You are the misgive.
The rifleman got it comin’ to him.
He can’t just kill ‘nimals. His future? GRIM!
